In and near the village of Arrochar there’s some great eateries to try.

Ben Arthur’s Bothy, a pub with a lively happy atmosphere indoors and outdoors and the food is yum! Worth a visit for sure. 

Cu Mara, a little blue building on the Loch front next to the community hall, is fabulous, but small, so definitely book ahead! On nice days, you can sit out front and there’s also take away. They have some awesome pizzas and burgers! 

The Village Inn has a beautiful setting indoors, outdoors, and even in their little pub, which is dog-friendly. Great cuisine as well and a little more fancy for dinner.

Braeside Stores is Our small village shop which has plenty of local produce, butcher meats, Salmon and souvenirs, so be sure to grab a ready-made sandwich if you’re headed out trekking… made locally! 

The Olive Branch, next to the petrol station at the head of the Loch, you’ll find the Olive Branch, offers wonderful take-away breakfast sandwiches. We love them and we especially love Vivian and the whole MacTavish clan!

Fish-n-Chips - Every late afternoon, Di and Ann open the Fish-n-Chips shop, which has sooooo much more than just that choice. They also offer famous battered sausages, salt-n-pepper chicken skewers, and mushy peas, and all sorts of other yummy favourites! Plus, they have unique gifts made by Miss Di herself! We can’t stop buying them and we also carry a few in our gift shop. Go say Hi to the girls, and they might even offer you a glass of bubbly!

Beyond Arrochar and Tarbet, you’ll also find great eateries on the Rosneath Peninsula, like The Perch Cafe (best desserts), A. T. Hughes Lochside Eatery, LouLou’s (she’s an amazingly creative chef), Ali’s Fish n Chips Take Away (best late night food you’ll find anywhere), Cove Country Store with its gelatos and coffee bar, and The Cafe at Kilcreggan (Shona’s Coffee Walnut Cake is to die for!)…all on Loch Long.
