Eateries
In and near the village of Arrochar there’s some great eateries to try. Number One on our list is definitely The Slanj, a restaurant in the setting of an old church. The food is great because they have a talented chef, plus the staff are fantastic. Secondly, Ben Arthur’s Bothy, it’s a pub with a lively happy atmosphere indoors and outdoors (if there’s no midges!) and the food is yum! Worth a visit for sure. Cu Mara on the Loch front is getting ready to open their indoor restaurant and in the meantime, you can sit out front or take away some awesome pizzas and burgers! The pizzas are unique and delicious! Finally, The Village Inn has a beautiful setting outdoors, but to get indoors, definitely book ahead. Make sure to let us help you with reservations as you’ll be a special guest with The Slanj coming from Fascadail. Our small village shop has plenty of local produce, butcher meats, Salmon and souvenirs, so be sure to grab a ready-made sandwich if you’re headed out trekking… made locally! Beyond Arrochar and Tarbet, you’ll also find great eateries on the Rosneath Peninsula, like The Perch Cafe (best desserts), LouLou’s (she’s an amazingly creative chef), Ali’s Fish n Chips Take Away (best late night food you’ll find anywhere), Cove Country Store with its gelatos and coffee bar, and The Cafe at Kilcreggan (Shona’s Coffee Walnut Cake is to die for!)…all on Loch Long.
